Wow! We asked and you answered – less than 24 hours ago we appealed for information on candidates or sitting officeholders who have something to say about a Tunnel for Tysons. To help eliminate further obfuscation, we decided to fact-check anything you send us and address it publicly on our web site and via e-mail. So, go ahead, send away. If you have it, we’ll check it out.
Please be sure to Vote on February 3rd and kindly send this page address to anyone you know. Now's the time for Tunnel supporters to weigh in by using the oldest tool of democracy, the vote.

In pertinent part:
Herrity and Bulova also disagreed over a large-bore Metrorail tunnel in Tysons Corner, which was favored by the public but scrapped by planners in favor of elevated rail lines.
Bulova said she would have liked a tunnel, but contended that any attempts now to delay construction and further study the issue might set the project back for a generation.
[Herrity, who sued the county in 2002 because he thought the project should be competitively bid, said a tunnel is preferable to elevated lines, which will divide Tysons Corner.
